Obelisks

In ancient Egypt, the obelisk symbolized the ray of the Sun God descending towards the earth. It also represents a symbol of power by recalling the link between the pharaoh and the deities. The grandeur of the obelisks also enraptured the Roman emperors who brought them to Rome as a symbol of greatness. It also assumes relevance in Christian worship as a symbol of connection between man and God.
