5 curiosities about Pyrite

1) The name Pyrite derives from the Greek pyr and means "fire" since this stone produces sparks when struck with a piece of metal and was therefore used as flint. Since it was believed that it really contained fire, pyrite was used to make protective amulets or, for therapeutic purposes, to heat the body.

2) Pyrite comes in the form of yellow crystals, due to sulfur, with a metallic sheen. Due to the color similar to gold, with which it was confused, it was known in the Middle Ages as "the gold of fools" or "false gold".

3) It has several benefits: it performs a pain-relieving action, improves blood circulation and strengthens the immune system.

4) It is considered as a talisman able to attract good luck and money. Instills energy and courage, dispelling negativity. Pyrite makes you aware of your true nature and highlights the positive and negative aspects of your personality. It is excellent when there is some conflict in relationships to be removed and is able to face all kinds of challenges.

5) It is often recommended to students as this stone is able to make their tasks more immediate and effective and to decrease anxieties and worries deriving from them.
